In 2012, a small group of friends and neighbours got together to make fun things happen in our neighbourhoods. We came up with the idea of creating a series of pop-up arts events, and decided to call our series find it.
In order to put on events like find it, we formed a non-profit society, the Vibrant Village Society of Inglewood & Ramsay. So even though we usually refer to ourselves as the find it team, or just find it, it's the board members of the Vibrant Village Society who are making find it events happen. We are a completely volunteer-run group. Here's some information about us in our "official capacity":

The Vibrant Village Society of Inglewood & Ramsay
The Vibrant Village Society of Inglewood & Ramsay was formed in early 2012 to:
· animate public spaces in Inglewood and Ramsay through the arts and other creative cultural means, · celebrate and engage the creative voices in our communities, and build deep community connections, · strengthen ties between the two neighbourhoods, · inspire Calgarians from every corner of the city be part of the arts- and heritage-rich character of Inglewood & Ramsay; · and, in order to achieve this, produce our first program - a new series of events titled find it: Pop-ups in Inglewood & Ramsay. In these ways, we will help shape Calgary as a city beloved for its culture, heritage, and engaged citizens. |
