Be a part of find it!
We're a group of creative community members who decided to highlight Inglewood and Ramsay as the cultural hubs that they are, and invite the rest of Calgary to come experience them. So far, our series of find it pop-up arts and culture events has been a huge success, and we want to keep the momentum going. They are so much fun! Obviously something our communities and the rest of Calgary have been looking for.
After four successful pop-ups in 2012 (Cowtown Opera on Scotsman's Hill before the Stampede fireworks, the New Street Spoken Word Safari, Food in Shorts (Full Moon Movie Night at the Ramsay rink, curated by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby), and the 23rd Street Artwalk & Street Celebration, we followed up in 2013, 2014 and 2015 with four amazing Inglewood Night Markets each year. We've also put together two winter pop-ups, 2013's Chandelierville and 2014's Advent Calendar. 2015 began with Thank You for Playing, a roving story presented in partnership with Calgary Reads and local author Sarah L. Johnson. And we're just getting started!
If you'd like to join us in making fun and highly professional food events, art happenings and unique neighbourhood experiences pop up all over Inglewood and Ramsay, let us know. You don't have to live in Inglewood and Ramsay to participate. If you have any great pop-up ideas, please send them to us for consideration. We'll review any new ones that are brought forward.
If you like us and what we're doing, we could sure use a few more regulars on our team year round, planning new pop-up adventures! If that's too much for you, we hope we can call on you next year to help with find it events. Contact us to let us know if there's any way you'd like to be involved. We'd love to have you!
