Cowtown Opera pops up on Scotsman's Hill!

find it is off to a rip-roaring start with our first "pop-up" event: At 10:40 PM on Friday, July 13th, members of Calgary's Cowtown Opera performed for the (surprised) crowds sitting on Ramsay's Scotsman's Hill as they waited for the Stampede fireworks display. Lit by flashlights, the opera singers appeared out of nowhere, wowed the crowd and vanished into the night. One overheard comment: "The fireworks were all right. But that music was amazing!" And this is just the beginning. Look out for more surprising events and installations around our inner-city communities... soon!
